Belated Christmas Joke...

Once upon a time, a perfect man and a perfect woman met. After a perfect courtship, they had a perfect wedding.
Their life together was, of course, perfect.

One snowy, stormy Christmas Eve, this perfect couple was driving their perfect car along a winding road, when they noticed someone at the side of the road in distress. Being the perfect couple, they stopped to help.

There stood Santa Claus with a huge bundle of toys. Not wanting to disappoint any children on the eve of Christmas, the perfect couple loaded Santa and his toys into their vehicle. Soon they were driving along delivering the toys. Unfortunately, the driving conditions deteriorated and the perfect couple and Santa Claus had an accident. Only one of them survived the accident.

Question: Who was the survivor?

**** Ladies, stop reading here, this is the end of the joke. ****
**** Men keep reading.****

****Ladies, the joke really ends here - stop reading. ****

My blood type is "O". Some of the analysis rings true: I am extremely stubborn and can be insecure... but some are not true: I am not a risk-taker. Some of the characteristics such as being "showy", "flighty" and "self-centered" I'm not sure about: either I haven't noticed these characteristics, have not developed them, or will not develop them. Hopefully I don't develop these characteristics... I don't know why, but they don't sound too positive :p There is also the part about "intrinsic elegance". Though I would LOVE for this to be true my perpetual bouts of clumsiness tell me otherwise :(

Also, JJ/adik recently informed me that his blood type was B. The MAIN thing that struck me as being SO SO SOOO true was: NOISY.... type B personalities are noisy.... hehe.

So what do you guys think? Does this blood type analysis match YOUR characteristic?

My Sister's Double Vision...

**This incident took place in the Summer of 2004 at Blue Nile**

Intan (my sister): You know, I have really bad eye sight...

Niera (me): Oh please Intan, our whole family has good eye sight.

Intan: No really! I have an astigmatism. Ok look at that sign there:

Intan: You see that "Employees Only" sign? I see TWO of those!

** Everyone sees two of the signs because there ARE two of them. Imagine that!**

**Invisible sweat trickles down each and every one of our brows at my sister's utterly bimbotic moment**

Mukhriz (my brother) pounces in for the KILL:

Mukhriz: In that case Intan, I must also have an astigmatism... coz I see TWO of those signs as well *evil grin*

**once again, these drawings were made using WORD**

NOTE: Intan you are an incredibly smart woman, but at times you can be sooo.... BLUR. But that is what makes you so cute and endearing *hug* & we all love you for it ;)

Malaysians are set to have a joyous January which will see five public holidays including New Year's Day on Jan 1 and Hari Raya Haji on Jan 10.

Keep Your Mind Sharp Over the Break... Try Some Riddles :)

Riddle 1
Three men go into a hotel. The manager tells them there is only one room available and is willing to rent the room for $30. The three men agree and each pay the manager $10. After some time the manager decides he has charged the men too much for the room. He calls the bellboy and says: "Go and give this $5 back to the three men." The bellboy is on his way as he realizes that the three men can't split the $5 equally so he decides to keep $2 for himself and gives each of the men $1 back. Now each of the three men have paid $9 for the room. This makes $27 in total. The bellboy kept $2 for himself. That makes $29 in total. But there was $30 originally. Where is the missing $1?

Riddle 2
What number should replace the '?' to COMPLETE the following row of numbers? 6,25,64,81,32?

Riddle 3
Try to make a total of 24 using exactly these 4 numbers: 3,3 ,7 and 7. You can use +, -, x, / and ( ).

Riddle 4
There are two plastic jugs filled with water. How could you put all of this water into a barrel, without using the jugs or any dividers, and still tell which water came from which jug?

A Funny Incident...

Early on in the Fall semester, the Champions of Excellence decided to head over to Cedar Point.

There were 10 of us travelling in 3 cars:

Note: The colors of the cars are most likely completely wrong! (I can't remember the colors of the cars :p )

Anyways, here is a "zoom in" of the green car:

As can be seen, there were five of us in the car. Eric was driving while Carolyn navigated. I was in charge of snacks at the back of the car (in the middle). Dayat and Mina were chilling on either side of me.

All of a sudden...

Mina excitedly exclaimed: "I saw a goose!"

To which I promptly and smugly replied: " I saw a deer!"

Out of the blue, Dayat smoothly (I mean extremely smoothly) added: "I see a monkey sitting right next to me."

**If the above diagram was not sufficiently clear, I was the only one sitting next to him... the rest, you can figure out for yourself. :p**

Everyone, as you may suspect, burst out in laughter. WoW Dayat! Who knew you had it in you? I mean, this is the guy who decided to take 3 shots of espresso within a span of 5 minutes! This is the guy who said that his brain was shaking from the caffeine OVERDOSE. Mr. Dayat, you've certainly come a long way ;) Kudos.

You scored as Goofy. Your alter ego is Goofy! You are fun and great to be around, and you are always willing to help others. You arn't worried about embarrassing yourself, so you are one who is more willing to try new things.

Which Disney Character is your Alter Ego?

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
*i received this is an email & thought that i would/should share it with you guys*

  • The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do!
  • If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you... chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you and he will go for the wallet or purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
  • If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arms out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won't see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.
  • Women have a tendency to get into their car after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their check book, or making a list, etc.) DON'T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go.
  • AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.
  • ALWAYS take the elevators instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot.)
  • If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; and even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!
  • As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked for "help" into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which was when he abducted his victims.

Good Luck on All your Finals~!

And it SNOWS....and it SNOWS....and it keeps SNOWING...
Purdue looks like this at the moment:

The picture above is not actually a picture of Purdue...but it is close enough :) - it gets my point across.

It has been snowing like crazy outside and it's supposed to
continue snowing till tomorrow morning. Sledding anyone?

I wish I were more like this:

But unfortunately, I'm more like this:

The best thing to do when faced with this kind of weather is to curl up underneath your blanket and SLEEP! And that's EXACTLY what i'm going to do :)....I WISH! I don't have the luxury of doing this... I actually have to write up my research paper *sigh* Which means I will be heading back to ChemE - my "home away from home".

On a positive note: I am done with two of my final projects :) Yayyy! Soon will somehow be done with the third. Yayyy! Then will be done with the CHE456 Final. Yayyy! Then I'll head back for HOME SWEET HOME! MALAYSIA :) YAYYYYY!

STAY WARM FOLKS!!!

D.E.A.D_W.E.E.K

I recently realized that Dead Week is upon us here at Purdue University *g.a.s.p*

Many of us will cower in dreadful anticipation...

...rapidly losing all semblance of hope.

Some of us will get extremely stressed...

...while others will quietly sink into the dark depths of denial-
precariously balancing on the edge of hysteria...

There may be a point where we'll feel we can't possibly
get through the next couple of weeks...

BUT

just follow the few tips listed below and you'll get
through this semester just fine! :)

(1) Don't OVER-caffeinate your body! (this is especially for you Dayat!)
Caffeine is a poor substitute for sleep.

(2) Obey your body's need for rest!
Remember to sleep :D

(3) If you find yourself unable to study... don't force yourself.
Take a 1 hour break and relax - then resume studying.

And lastly...

(4) Take comfort in the fact that your friends in the same major

are going through the same things you are!

!~*GOOD LUCK*~!
